Avengers (Novice)

Committee Topics

Topic 1 - Wakanda’s Right to Self-Defense

Topic 2 - The Threat of Vibranium’s Imbalance

Topic 2 - The Threat of Vibranium’s Imbalance

With the power of vibranium weapons driving devastation, Wakanda's military capacity is unmatched compared to other global superpowers. The mere existence of such an unmatched force risks the fabric of international security and the potential for a war between superpowers. While some nations view Wakanda’s military as a threat to global sovereignty, others argue that they have the full ability to control their technology. The committee must determine the next steps for Wakanda and its potential threat to international sovereignty.

Topic 2 - The Threat of Vibranium’s Imbalance

Topic 2 - The Threat of Vibranium’s Imbalance

Topic 2 - The Threat of Vibranium’s Imbalance

Wakanda's position on the powerful yet destructive element vibranium creates a large power imbalance among nations. This has led to attempts by other countries to illegally obtain the metal for their own forces, risking international stability and the use of military action. In the past years, Wakanda has faced a drastic increase in attempts from other nations to purloin its main material, and this has raised concerns about Wakanda’s security and sovereignty. The committee must cooperate to shed light on the ramifications of Vibranium’s imbalance and their future steps.

Committee Chairs

Arshia Ajai

Arshia Ajai is currently an 8th grader at Moody Middle School, and she is very grateful to be a part of the secretariat as Director of Press and Publications. She is beyond excited to get the opportunity to chair Avengers. She has participated in Model UN since the 7th grade and has attended 4 conferences. The moment after her first conference, she fell in love with the ability to express her opinion, debate real-world issues, and learn the critical thinking skills that underpinned it. Outside of Model UN, she is the Vice-President of HOSA, and loves being active in her community. Arshia loves hanging out with her friends and family, and can’t wait to meet all of the delegates in MMSMUN XIV!

Dishita Prabhahar

Dishita is currently an 8th grader at Moody Middle School, and is thrilled to be your chair for

Avengers. She is ecstatic to see all delegates debate and come up with resolutions! Dishita has

been doing Model UN since Seventh grade and her first committee was DISEC at DRMUN. Her

passion for Model UN has been growing ever since. Outside of Model UN, Dishita enjoys

playing tennis, dancing both classical and Bollywood dance, and hanging out with friends. She looks forward to seeing all the delegates at Moody MUN!
