Aditya Singhal is an 8th grader at Moody and could not be more honored to be serving as your Secretary General. Aditya started Model UN in fifth grade, starting with MMSMUN itself! He has then participated in 11 conferences, winning awards such as the Best Delegate award at both GODMUN and GSMUN. Apart from MUN, Aditya serves as the President of the Forensics Club and the Debate Club. He has been debating and participating in forensics competitions since 6th grade. When he’s not invested in his learning, you can find him drawing, reading about airplanes, or baking. He is incredibly excited to see all the delegates in action this year and wishes everyone good luck!
Ajooni Kaur is an 8th grader at Moody Middle School and is honored to serve as your director general for this year’s Model UN conference! She has been an active member of the Model UN community since 6th grade when she attended her very first conference right here at Moody. Over the past three years, Ajooni has participated in 6 conferences and has had the opportunity to chair a specialized agency committee at MMSMUN last year. Apart from Model UN, Ajooni has been a member of the Moody Girls tennis team for the past three years and the Forensics Club throughout middle school. Outside of her academics, Ajooni enjoys dancing with her team and spending time with her friends and family. She can’t wait to meet all of the delegates at MMSMUN in March!
Sahan Gurram is an 8th grader at Moody Middle School and is honored to be serving as your Under-Secretary General of General Assemblies. Starting in 7th grade, he found a passion in the complex world of Model UN, and has won multiple awards. When he isn't working on Model UN, you can find him reading, working, or doing stuff. He doesn't feel like yapping cuz no one reads this, but if you are, go work or something lol.. With this, he leaves you with one word and an extremely famous symbol. Oranges :O
Leah Tobin is an 8th grader at Moody Middle School and is thrilled to be serving as your Under-Secretary General of General Assemblies. Leah has been doing Model UN since 6th grade, attending 3 conferences and winning an honorable mention. Outside of Model UN, you can find Leah reading or playing volleyball. She was also a part of the play and Track team in 6th grade and she plays violin. Leah loves dancing and has participated in many performances. Leah was also a member of the Forensics team and Volleyball Club last year. She is always spending time with her family outside of school as well, and going up to Charlottesville to see her brother. She wishes good luck to all the delegates and can’t wait to see them at MMSMUN!
Arjun is an 8th grader at Moody Middle School and is excited to be your Under-Secretary General of Specialized Agencies this year! Arjun has an extreme passion for Model UN and has been doing it since the 6th grade. With over 6 conferences of experience, Arjun has won awards and has done many Specialized Agencies. Arjun loves Forensics and has done it for 3 years, winning 1st place in many Forensics competitions and is President of the Moody Forensics Club. Arjun also does Debate and has won two first prizes in an international high-school Debate tournament. In addition, he is President of the Moody Cricket Club and jumps at every public speaking opportunity. Arjun cannot wait to see all of the leaders and diplomats emerge from inside you at MMSMUN and is excited to have a great conference!
Aarna is an 8th grade student at Moody, and is excited to be your Under-Secretary General or Specialized Agencies. She has been doing Model UN with lots of passion since 6th grade, ready to bring that passion to the table. Aarna has been to over 5 conferences winning an award and has lots of experience with Specialized Agencies. Outside of MUN, Aarna is either playing tennis or hanging out with friends. She also loves spending time with her family and participating in a multitude of hobbies like art, dance, and taekwondo. She wishes all delegates the best of luck for the upcoming conference!
Luqmaan Khan is an 8th grader who attends Moody Middle School and is serving as your Under-Secretary General of Crisis Simulations. He has been doing Model UN from 6th grade with 2 ½ years of experience. He has 9 conferences of experience and has won 1 outstanding, 1 honorable, and 2 verbals. Outside of MUN, he leads the debate club, and is also of the two travel captains for MMS speech and debate travel team. He has been on Moody’s debate team for 3 years and has won awards in varsity high school sectors. Aside from that, he has also won 1st place regional in speech in 6th grade. Outside of random clubs, he plays chess sometimes even though he is terrible at it. Oranges :O
Pranava Bharath is a 8th grader at Moody Middle School and is excited to serve as your Under-Secretary General of Crisis Simulations. She has been participating in Model UN since sixth grade and loves to collaborate with others. She was 7 conferences worth of experience and has won verbal. She is determined to make MMSMUN its finest this year. When Pranava is not involved in Model UN, she plays tennis, soccer, gymnastics, and dance. She is also takes chorus in school. She also participated in TSA in 6th grade. She loves to travel places and has been to Hawaii, Puerto Rico, London, Paris, etc. She looks forward to meeting all the delegates and wishes them all good luck!
Sreekar Karra is an 8th grader at Moody Middle School and is extremely passionate about MUN. Although he doesn’t have as much experience as others, he is still well-versed in Model UN and has won an award. He is ready to use his financing and managing skills to make this Moody MUN the best. He also participates in robotics, with his team being the second-best in the state. He also was on the Moody MathCounts team, the competition math team for Moody. When he’s not doing any of these things, you can find him reading, drawing, or working on a ton of homework. Sreekar looks forward to seeing all of you future leaders at this MMSMUN!
Aabha is an 8th grader at Moody Middle School and is thrilled to be your Director of External Communications. She has been doing Model UN since the fifth grade and her first conference was here at Moody. She thinks of MUN as her true passion, attending a total of five conferences including GSMUN, GODMUN, and of course MMSMUN. She was on the Forensics Team last year and jumps at every public speaking opportunity. Outside of school, she finds herself immersed in extracurriculars like Indian classical dance, piano, and robotics. She is immensely excited to contribute to make this year's MMSMUN the best it can be.
Ohm Patel is an 8th grader at Moody Middle School and he loves Model UN. He is excited to bring all of this technology skills to the table and make MMSMUN the finest it's ever been. He has done five conferences and won two awards. He is also in Jazz Band and was in All - District Band, fifth chair. He also does TSA and Rubik’s Cube Club. You will often find him playing tennis in his free time and he is the 6th seed for the team. He is also going to be taking pictures at MMSMUN. So when you see him with a camera, make sure to smile! He wishes the best of luck for all participants this year and can’t wait to see them all in March!
Abha Shukla is an 8th grader at Moody who finds fun in helping others and debating. Outside of Model UN, Abha does chorus, dance, robotics, and leads Baking and Helping Hands club! She has done 7 conferences and crisis staffed at MMSMUN XII. Abha can’t wait to use her experience in Charity for the greater good. Good Luck delegates!
Emma Stein is an 8th grader here at Moody Middle School! It’s her first year in Model UN, but she’s excited to bring all her marketing skills to make this year the best for MMSMUN. When she’s not promoting MUN she loves to spend time outside with friends and family or work on art projects. She wishes the best of luck to all of the participants this year!
Ms. Morris is excited to be the new sponsor for MMSMUN! She has been a Mathematics teacher in Henrico County for 19 years, but for the last 9 years Moody Middle School has been her home. Ms. Morris completed her Master of Interdisciplinary Studies at VCU and completed her bachelor's degree in Elementary and Middle School Education at Longwood University. During her free time, Ms Morris likes to keep herself busy with various forms of crafting and crocheting amigurumis. Model UN is new to Ms. Morris, but she is excited to help make MMSMUN XIII the best conference yet!
