Topic 2 - Combating the Global Illicit Nuclear Trafficking Networks

Topic 2 - Combating the Global Illicit Nuclear Trafficking Networks

The trafficking of narcotics fuels organized crime, violence, and corruption across borders. Criminal networks profit while communities suffer from addiction and instability. International cooperation is necessary, but nations often disagree on enforcement, punishment, and prevention strategies. The committee must decide how countries can work together to combat trafficking while addressing its social and economic causes.

Topic 2 - Combating the Global Illicit Nuclear Trafficking Networks

Topic 2 - Combating the Global Illicit Nuclear Trafficking Networks

The smuggling of nuclear materials and illicit trafficking empowers organized crime and threatens global security. Criminal networks exploit weak borders and inconsistent legal frameworks to operate across nations. Cooperation between countries' law enforcement and stronger prosecution laws is critical to stopping these networks. The committee must decide how nations can work together to dismantle these groups while protecting public safety and enforcing international law.
